Chrysler’s New Work Horse: The Pentastar 3.6L V-6 Engine is New and Improved!

The Pentastar 3.6L V-6, Chrysler’s new workhorse, will power 13 vehicles across Chrysler Group’s lineup of Chrysler, Jeep Dodge and Ram. The new engine will be in about 44% of new Chrysler vehicles for 2013. Performance varies slightly depending on the vehicle but the Pentastar 3.6 Liter V-6 delivers around 300 horsepower and 260 Ib-ft. of torque while achieving around 20/30 mpg city/hwy. This shows a 30%-40% improvement in power, 10% improvement in torque and about 20% improvement in fuel efficiency. So far Chrysler has been awarded a Wards 10 Best Engines for the new Pentastar. This is exciting news for Chrysler and its loyal customers.
