Old Jeep U.S. Military Ads!

This Memorial Day weekend it is important to take time to recognize and remember all the fallen service men and women of our military services. As we honor the U.S. Military this weekend we also thought it would be interesting to show how Jeep played a role in our military services but more specifically WWII.
The photos above are from a 1944 Willy's ads. The first illustrations shows a dramatic and intense scene in the jungle during WWII. Through all the ups and downs Jeep vehicles were a crucial part of American Success, especially with their intense off road capabilities.
These ads ran to help Jeep transition into residential life and for the personal use of drivers. With all its capabilities and ruggedness U.S. servicemen wanted to use this vehicle at home as well. The bottom ad is a representation of "post war" life with a Jeep. The family of the returned solider gather around him as they catch up with him and get a closer look at this new and interesting vehicle. Little do they know that this Jeep will become apart of the American household!
